Recently we spent a holiday in Portugal. As you might know, over the past years Portugal has had to deal with a tremendous number of forrest fires. During this holiday we came across a forrest area where a forrest fire had been raging the year before.
At places like here, the winds pushed the fires so hard, that all shrubs and the basks of the trees have been burned away, but still leaving the now baskless remains of the trees.
In post, I slightly increased the saturation of the orange of the tree stumps, while also pushing the contrasts/dehaize to add more structure.
A sad highlight, in an otherwise beautiful holiday. It should, however, make use think about the effects of climate change ...
