Mid december, I was in Curitiba in Brazil for work. While being there, I was able to see a bit of the surrounding area. During this visit of Curitiba's hinterland, I came across this interesting scene.
In many countries, including Brazil, electricity is distributed by way of overhead lines. However, being in the tropics, in Brazil these overhead power lines become a nice place for wild flowers to take hold. In the past, these may have grown on the trees in the rainforest. (Western) civilisation might, indeed, be responsible for the dissemination of the original rainforests. This makes it all the more interesting to see these wild flowers take hold of "western" creations, such as power lines.
It all reminded me of a quote from Jurassic Park "Life will find a way". Indeed.
