On Facebook, I was challenged by a landscape photographer to participate in the #ChallengeOnNaturePhotography. The idea is to post a landscape photo every day, for seven days in a row. This challenge allows me to re-visit some of the photos I took over the last years.
This first one takes us back to 2008. In that year, I visited Namibia. In Etosha park, we came across this mother and child elephant. Regretfully, it was mid-day, so the sun was extremely harsh. Rendering the photo in black-and-white, however, allowed me to retain the original atmosphere of the moment.
