The Northwestern part of Namibia is essentially a dessert. Sometimes, one may come across patches like these with scattered trees. In this case, it is actually a flood plain, which, during the rain season, is likely to be flooded. During the dry periods, however, the trees have to "fight" for their survival, while hardly leaving any water for grass to grow.

The passing car provides some sense of dimension to the emptiness and fastness of the landscape.

As the dust in the sky, due to the drought, created quite a haze, I applied a dehaze filter to add more contrast to the hills in the background. In post, I also increased the saturation of the greens, to make the trees stand out slightly more.
