During the last two weeks, I was on a photo expedition to the North-western of Namibia. As a result, you can expect several photos from this trip to feature as photo of the week during the next weeks.

This photo was taken in the Marienfluss valley, close to the border with Angola. This dessert provides some stunning views, while the wind further sculptures the landscape. The early morning light brings out the red colours of the desert sands in the back, while the foreground is still in the shadows, awaiting the harsh sunlight. 

In post, I removed some "sensor dust", as well as some "dirt" in the sand.  Finally, I added some saturation to the colours of the sand in the foreground, as well as the rock.
