This week's photo takes use back to a trip I made last year to Nizhny Novgorod. Not far away from Nizhny Novgorod, you can find the old village of Gorodets. The village of Gorodets is known for its traditional local crafts: woodworking, embroider and honey bread baking, which are still pursued.

While visiting the village, I came across this scene with traditional houses in the typical colours. 

In post, I sharpened the image slightly, to strengthen the lines of the woodwork.
