Erik Proper's Pictures
This week's photo was taken a few years ago in Namibia.
At first glance, one might think to be looking at the detailed structures of a small rock face. Soon, however, the eye is drawn to these little figures standing on the rocks about a 3rd from the right, just above the middle. Indeed. They are people. No, I did not bring plastic figures of people that feature on modelling railroad setups. But do, indeed entertain the thought for a while. The way the rocks are structured, it is actually hard to gauge the size of things, unless you see the people standing on the ledge.
The massiveness of the landscape really shows the insignificance of men, in comparison to the landscape around us.
