Where the first week of this year already indicated that winter was truly coming, a few days later, winter was there more prominently. 
This photo was taken on the same location, i.e. Korlingen near Trier. It is actually a stitched (in Lightroom) photo based on 10 exposures in portrait mode.

The low hanging clouds in the background, contrasts quite nicely with the subtle sunlight in the foreground. Quite nicely capturing a winter wonderland.
