Erik Proper's Pictures
This week's photo was taken in Far North Queensland in Australia. Large parts of northern Queensland are covered by rainforests, and as the name suggests these areas attract a lot of rain. As a result, waterfalls and rivers tend to be filled with water.
The strong sun, combined with the chlorophyll in the water, adds a green colouring to the water. This green contrasts nicely to the brown-redish rocks that are characteristic to the north Queensland landscape.
The use of an ND filter, ensured in a long exposure, which consequently yielded a milky touch to green water, while still retaining a clear suggestion of the flow of the water.
