The last two weeks I was on a photo expedition to Iceland, with Geurt Besselink and Haukur Snorrason as photographic guides. Iceland offers visitors a wide range of stunning views. Especially the colour combinations one can observe are hard to describe in words.

In the next weeks I will be busy selecting and editing the many, many, photos I took during this expedition. However, as a first pre-view, this week's highlighted picture was taken in the Maelifellssandur volcanic dust desert. To the right, in the background, you can see the green Pyramid Mountain, which is named after its distinct pyramid-like shape.
