This photo was taken a month ago (mid September) near Bous, close to Remich in Luxembourg. The local farmers had just cleared the land from the last crops,, leaving nice diagonal lines, and different shades of soil. At the same time the recent rains allowed the grass to show deep green colours. Some leaves in the trees were already started to show the onset of fall. Although you would need to watch closely.
The setting sun, which was over my left shoulder, created shadows that were running counter diagonally to the lines "left" by the farmers.
In taking the photo, I used a focal length of about 120mm, resulting in a compressed representation of the landscape, which further accentuates the diagonal lines.
