This week I had two paper deadlines to meet, while also visiting a conference. Therefore, this week's photo is one from the archives.
This photo was taken in Etosha in Namibia during my last trip to this beautiful country. We were parked close to a waterhole. Due to the long lasting drought, many of the animals could be found there, as the waterholes were the only remaining source of water.
While we were staying at the waterhole, a zeal of Zebra also came to drink. These, presumably young, Zebra were having a bit of a skirmish, which I was lucky enough to capture. Thanks to the high resolution of my Sony A7RII, I was able to crop the photo, to put more focus on "the action". Meanwhile, the little Springbok, seemingly ignores the skirmish that takes place only a few steps away.
