Week 45 - Not Rio, not Frisco, but Lisbon - EPx

EP20140927-0228

This week's photo is again a black and white photo. It was taken on a recent holiday to the area of Lisbon in Portugal. Even though the landscape is quite colourful in this area, I decided to select this photo, which I rendered in black and white. On the photo you can see the bridge across the Tejo river. The bridge is a twin of the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco. At the same time you can see the statue (left of the bridge) of Jesus, which is a twin of the one that be seen in Rio de Janeiro.

I decided to render this photo in black and white, because at the (only) time i was at this bridge, the sun was burning hard into the image. Nevertheless, I think I still managed to capture the essence of the bridge, and the statue behind it.
